Born from frustration.
Every surfer knows the feeling. You open your bag after a hot car ride and your wax has turned into a crime scene — cardboard destroyed, wax on everything. You wrestle a melted block out of a box that rips apart in your hands, leaving sticky residue on your wetsuit, your seats, your gear.
That frustration is exactly why OBRTO exists.
What OBRTO is about.
OBRTO was built for surfers who are tired of gear that looks good on a shelf but falls apart the moment it hits heat, salt, and sand. Too much surf equipment prioritises aesthetics over actual performance. We're not interested in that.
We focus on simple, durable products that solve real problems — starting with the Wax Stash, a non-stick, heat-resistant wax container designed and made in New Zealand from flexible TPU.
The Wax Stash came from a straightforward idea: what if your wax lived in something that actually worked? Something non-stick, heat-resistant, and built to last longer than a cardboard box that disintegrates on its first beach trip.
How we build.
